ICQ Project
At the international festival LegeArtis, Lech and his artistic manager Asya Sorshneva present ICQ project, a unique ensemble, that unites some of the most outstanding artists of our time on stage to connect contemporary and academic music with other artforms such as multimedia installations. The ICQ project is known for its unusual programme which revitalizes world premieres of contemporary works and classical music, bringing them into a new perspective.
In 2010 the ensemble presented the newest works of the legendary composer Steve Reich for the first time in Moscow. On the latest CD of the ICQ project “Vaticination,” containing compositions of Valentin Silvestrov, George Pelecis, and John Adams, one will also hear Steve Reichs “Double Sextet.”
The selected program for 2017 is dedicated to the modern composers Steve Reich and John Adams, Pulitzer award winners, and their successors. Their aesthetic compilation fosters minimalism - expressing the concept of the resting times, contrastive with the present daily expressive and dynamic psychological agenda.
