As a reaction towards regressive currents the law of commonwealth is introduced. It’s based on the assumption that “democracy alone cannot protect the elected majority, especially if populism gains influence in politics” (Braidotti, 2016). In the Forum Biotopia a public dialogue room will be opened which will react to the broad levels of the law of commonwealth: audio recordings explain the concept of law, conceiving a utopia of commonwealth and relieving the unease with regulation.

Magdalena Fritsch and Sophie Lingg experimented with visual arts, exhibitions, and theory. They are curators and unanimously work on their dissertation projects at the academy of fine arts Vienna.
