Anda Kryeziu
Born in Kosovo in 1993, Kryeziu started the music education at the age of 8, studying piano. She continued her studies at the Music Conservatory in Prishtina, following further studies at Basel Music Academy and University of Bern, where she graduated in piano and composition.
Important works by Kryeziu are string sexttet “Mirage du feu”, commissioned and premiered from Ensemble “Sherazade” (Switzerland), the piano piece “A Sisyphus”, commissioned from DAM Festival in Prishtina, “Zwei Ensemble Stücke”, premiered from Ensemble “Sargo” in New Music Days Luzern, and “Passport”, premiered from Ensemble “Lunaire” in the Festival “Wege der Wahrnehmung” in Lucerne. Among all she has been involved also in writing film music.
Kryeziu's concerns in music are diverse and universal. Her aesthetics swing into different branches, with influences from social politics, existentialism, semiotics and intrinsic musical perspectives. Currently, Kryeziu completes her master studies in composition at Hochschule Luzern under Dieter Ammann and in piano under Konstantin Lifschitz.
