Kurt Steinwald

Kurt Steinwald was born in Vienna and has been around the Austrian and German DJ scene for almost 10 years. It all began in his basement, where he started to mix old Jungle and UK Garage vinyls with his parents' selection of Funk, Soul and Disco. During his studies, he was influenced by electronic music from the U.S, like Drexciya, Jeff Mills or Egyptian Lover. He founded Viermalvier, a community for music and arts, in 2009, that hosted events all around Austria. In 2013 he moved to Berlin, where he co-founded "3 feet hi“, a platform hosting events in London, New York and Berlin. After moving back to Vienna in 2016 he started another event series, together with Jay Smoo and Franjazzco, called „Service".
